Kari Lake, a well-known figure in the US Republican Party, praised Viktor Orbán’s policies in a program. The politician, who is also seen as a possible vice-presidential candidate for Donald Trump, will speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Hungary conservative conference next week.
“Hungary is a free country. Hungary is doing things right. They have a leader who is putting the people of his country first,” Kari Lake said on Steve Bannon’s show.
Kari Lake said she is looking forward to her visit to Hungary, as she has never been there before and is curious to hear the other conservative speakers too.
CPAC Hungary is taking place on May 4-5 in Budapest, hosted by the Center for Fundamental Rights (Alapjogokért Központ). The list of prominent speakers includes Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Georgian head of government Irakli Garibashvili, former Slovenian PM Janez Jansa, former Czech PM Andrej Babis and several conservative, right-wing speakers from Europe, the US, Latin America, and even Japan.
