An aircraft-type drone that exploded near a residential building in Kurchatov fell a few kilometers from the Kursk nuclear power plant, a spokesman for emergency services told RIA Novosti.”An aircraft-type drone followed by an explosion of the” filling “collapsed near a nine-story residential building,” the source said.He added that the drone did not fly to the station just a few kilometers.
As the governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit said earlier , critical facilities were not damaged during the attack, there were no casualties. According to him, the facade of the residential building was damaged and the glazing of the first floor was broken.Kurchatov is located 38 kilometers west of Kursk , the population is about 40 thousand people. The city is known for having the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant on its territory.
