The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, will start consultations today on the mandate for the composition of the new government.
At the residence in Cetinje, Milatović will first meet with representatives of the Europe Now Movement (PES), then the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), and then with representatives of the New Serbian Democracy (Nova), reports Tanjug.
The President’s Information Service announced that the meeting with the representatives of the PES will begin at nine o’clock, with the DPS at noon, while at 3 o’clock they will meet with the representatives of the New Serbian Democracy.
Milatović’s optimism
Although it has a deadline of 30 days, Milatović previously said that he expects the consultations to end before the scheduled deadline, that is, within the next 15 days.
“We need to get a stable and European government as soon as possible. I will do my part, and I think that there should be enough responsibility and seriousness on all sides of the political spectrum,” said Milatović.
The representative announces his program in the Assembly and proposes the composition of the government.
The parliament decides on the mandate program and the proposal for the composition of the government at the same time.
