Ukraine increase the mined strip along the borders with Belarus and Russia to two kilometers in width. This was reported by the Ukrainian state border service in the Telegram channel.
“Practically it will be a mined area,” the report says.
In addition, according to the border service, the Verkhovna Rada has regulated the procedure for attracting the Ukrainian armed forces, the national guard and the police to perform the function of border guards.
Earlier, the American newspaper The Washington Post reported that Ukrainian troops mined every road and forest strip on the border with Belarus.
Currently, a special operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continues in Ukraine. Its beginning was announced on February 24, 2022 by Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the purpose of military action is to demilitarize the neighboring country and denazify its authorities.
